Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
